How collecting works
Singles, sealed or graded
A single is one card, the way most collections start. Sealed product is a booster pack, box or tin still in its wrapping, opened by you or kept closed. A graded card has been checked by a grading company, given a grade and sealed in a hard plastic slab.
Conditions
Raw singles are described as NM (near mint), LP (lightly played), MP (moderately played), HP (heavily played) or DMG (damaged). The better the condition, the higher the price. A graded slab replaces the guesswork with a printed grade.
Sets and printings
Cards are released in sets, each with its own name and card numbers. The same card can be printed in several sets, in different art, in reverse holo or in another language. Each of those is a printing, and each has its own price.
What a price guide is
A price guide shows what a card usually sells for, so you can tell a fair price from a high one. On MYNTED Auctions it comes from our Collectr partnership, next to what the same card sold for on MYNTED before.

Pick a franchise
Start with the game or the characters you already love: Pokémon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball, Union Arena or sports cards.

Decide what you are happy to spend before you look. At an auction you set your maximum once and we never bid above it.

- How do I start collecting trading cards?
- Pick one franchise you enjoy, decide what you want to spend, and buy a few cards from sellers you know. A single card or a sealed pack is enough to begin.
- Are singles, sealed product or graded cards better for a beginner?
- Singles are the easiest way in because you choose exactly the card you want. Sealed product is fun to open. Graded cards cost more and suit collectors who want a card checked and protected.
- What does NM, LP, MP, HP and DMG mean?
- They are the condition grades for raw singles: near mint, lightly played, moderately played, heavily played and damaged. Near mint is closest to a fresh pack.
- Where can I buy trading cards in the UAE?

- How do I know a price is fair?
- Use a price guide. On MYNTED Auctions each item shows a price guide from our Collectr partnership and what the same card sold for on MYNTED before.
- What is grading and should I grade my cards?
- A grading company checks a card, gives it a grade and seals it in a slab. Our Grading Hub compares PSA, Beckett, TAG, ACE, CGC and HiT, with prices and turnaround times, so you can choose.
- How does an auction work if it is my first time?
- Set the most you are willing to pay and we bid for you in small steps. Nobody sees your maximum. There is no buyer's premium, and your saved card is charged only if you win.
- Can I return a card?
- Every sale is final. If an item is not as described, write to help@mynted.me within 3 days of delivery.
